Ken Claud, Jailer

Ken Claud was born and raised in Clinton, Hickman County, Kentucky.  After graduating high school he attended Murray State University and earned a B.S. degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice and later a Master’s degree in Public Administration.  In 1987 he began his law enforcement career with the Murray Police Department.  After being promoted through the ranks he served from 2004 until retiring in 2010 as Chief of Police for the City of Murray. Claud is also a 2002 graduate of the F.B.I.’s National Academy, which is a ten week law enforcement executive development course in Quantico, Virginia.  From 2010-2014 he served as a deputy sheriff with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office in various assignments.  In 2014 he was elected Calloway County Jailer and began his duties on January 5, 2015.
