The Calloway County Jail is a 129-bed correctional facility constructed in 1996, that houses state and county inmates. In addition to the main jail we have a 34-bed Workhouse. The Jailer is Ken Claud who was elected in 2014. There are 34-fulltime and 4–part time employees. The facility contracts with West Kentucky Correctional Health.

Inmates have the opportunity to participate in programs that may help them upon their release from our facility. Some of these programs are GED Classes, NA, Substance Abuse Counseling, MRT and PORTALS New Direction. Inmates have access to an in-house law library and library cart privileges. Commissary is offered once a week so inmates may purchase hygiene and paper items or snack foods and drinks.
